FAMILY SUPPORTS FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES (FSCD)

The FSCD program is based on the Family Support for Children with Disabilities Act (FSCD Act) and the FSCD Regulation. They work in partnership with eligible families of children with disabilities to help parents:

  • with supports and services to raise your child and promote their healthy development

  • encourage your child to take part in activities at home and in community

  • maintain guardianship, responsibility for decision-making and usual expenses to raise a child until they are 18 years old

  • with some of the extraordinary costs related to your child's disability

PROGRAM UNIT FUNDING (PUF)

Program Unit Funding is available to approved ECS operators and school authorities for young children who are 2 years 8 months and less than 4 years 8 months of age by September 1, and who have been identified with a severe disability/delay.

Inclusion Alberta is a family-based non-profit federation that advocates on behalf of children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. They have the dream of meaningful family life and community inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities. As an advocacy organization they support families and individuals in their desire to be fully included in community life.
